What are the Healing Rooms?
The Beach Chapel Healing Rooms provide a loving, safe, confidential environment where you can come to receive healing prayer. Some are healed instantly by a miraculous touch from God. Others receive their healing progressively over a period of days, weeks or months. We are committed to pray for your as long as it takes, contending for your healing until you are completely well. We minister salvation, physical healing and emotional healing to the complete person (spirit, soul and body). Not pointing to our differences but all believing Jesus Christ is the Healer and we are NOT. He answers prayer and we just team together in unity trusting Him to do the work. We are volunteer healing prayer teams, not counselors. We operate strictly by donations. No appointment is necessary.
Who Are We and What We Do?
Our Healing Rooms team consists of volunteers from different churches in the San Diego County area. A family atmosphere of love and unity permeates the team, although we attend churches as diverse as Assembly of God, Baptist, Foursquare, Nazarene, Presbyterians, Roman Catholic, Vineyard, Messianic Jewish, Calvary and various independent fellowships. Assembling in small groups of two or three to pray for the sick, The Holy Spirit can flow through us as a team. There is only one “super-star” in our midst: JESUS!!
Jesus the Healer
We believe, as Hebrews 13:8 states that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”. While He walked this earth He healed the wick, cast out demons and performed many miracles. We believe He is the same today and still does these things. We pray with that understanding and in the powerful name of Jesus. We believe according to Isaiah 53:4-5, that Jesus paid for our healing on the cross. “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
Our Procedures
The first time you come to the Healing Rooms you will be asked to sign in your name and time of arrival. Then you will be asked to complete a one-page intake form. You only need to complete this form on your first visit. Your waiting time will depend on the number of healing prayer volunteers on-site on a given day and how many people are ahead of you. The front desk person can you give you an approximate wait time. There may be a time when someone comes in after you but is given preference in getting prayer. This is because critically ill, or people in extreme pain are given priority for obvious reasons.
While you are waiting for prayer, you will be asked to sit quietly to prepare your heart to receive what the Lord wants for you in the healing prayer session. The waiting room atmosphere is designed to prepare your heart through soft music. You will be asked not to talk, to mediate and prepare your heart for prayer. Please silence your cell phone as cell phone usage is not permitted in the Healing Rooms or the waiting room. The front desk person can direct you to the restrooms.
When your turn comes up, the intake form you filled out on your first visit is put in a folder and taken to one of the Healing Rooms prayer teams, consisting of at least two but usually three team members. They pray over your paper, without looking to see who it is, asking the Holy Spirit how He wants them to minister the healing prayer. Sometimes the Holy Spirit will give a picture, and impression, or a Scripture to each of them team members that He wants the team to share with you.
When you are brought into a room, the team leader will ask if he/she can anoint you with oil. The oil is symbolically asking the Holy Spirit to be present in the session. After you are anointed you will have an opportunity to share what brought you into the Healing Rooms and what you would like prayer for. Then the team will share with you what they received when they laid hands on your paper. There’s no magic in the intake form you filled out. It’s just used as a point of contact representing you as a person. If one of the team members received a picture or an impression, it will be shared with you and you will be given an opportunity to say what it does or does not mean to you because God wants to bring revelation to you so that you know it came from Him and not the team member. When they God of the Universe speaks, He changes lives and He wants us all to hear. We minister to body, soul and spirit of the believer, as well as unbelievers to bring an awareness of God’s awesome love towards you. He is a crazy about you and there’s nothing you have ever done or nothing you will ever do to change His mind about you!
The timing of your session will be approximately 15-20 minutes in duration, and you are welcome to come back to the Healing Rooms as often as you desire.

Twelve years ago, I began a battle with cancer that led me on a journey to seek out healing. During this time my relationship with the Lord through the Holy Spirit grew incredibly rich and deep. He connected me to the Healing Rooms at Bethel Church in Redding CA, and later to other Healing Rooms in San Diego where I received ministry for healing. My battle with cancer was won by Jesus Christ…thank you Lord! Throughout this journey, my hunger to grow in the gifts of healing, deliverance and the prophetic exploded, and the Lord began to move my heart to establish a Healing Rooms ministry at my home church, Beach Chapel in Encinitas, Ca. God provided me with wonderful equipping and training through the local Healing Rooms leadership in the model of John G. Lake. By the Holy Spirit’s leading, with the support of my amazing pastors (Micah & Bourne Burns), and with an enthusiastic team by my side, we have been going after healing and wholeness for our community now for over 5 years strong!
There is no greater joy in my life than to see people get healed – mind, body, soul, and spirit – by the Lord Jesus Christ! The Lord has set me free of so many things throughout my life! I am so grateful for the authority and anointing HE has blessed believers with to see Jesus get all He paid for at the cross! I am humbled to watch our incredible team partner with the Holy Spirit week in and week out, to connect people with His love and power to bring heaven to earth!
